Fairway Irrigation Design
is pleased to offer a complete line of irrigation design services. All
the services are completed “in-house”; assuring every project receives
personal attention. |

Whether you have a new or
existing project, our firm can design an irrigation system to fit your
needs. We pride ourselves on developing practical systems designs which
are both easy to operate and easy to maintain. We can assess your
watering requirements and develop a system with the proper pumping
capacity, pressure, and watering window you need to accomplish your
irrigation goals. |

An initial design on
paper only creates the general concept and framework of how the
irrigation system will work. The field staking and layout on the actual
project site are critical to the success of a project.
Qualified
persons are needed to make the system design framework operate in the
field. No amount of planning on paper can anticipate every contour or
obstacle on a golf course. This is why we personally lay out our
projects. We will locate your system equipment in the field. By doing
this we can react, adjust and account for any particular situation that
may be presented. GPS technology allows us the ability to produce very
accurate drawings of the layout for construction. |
 |
|
Throughout the
construction minor changes may occur during the installation process.
We require the contractor to note any changes from the as-staked plans
and submit them to us. At the end of a project we will compile the
as-constructed notes and create a record drawing. This drawing shall be
in the form of a CD-ROM with reproducible files that show irrigation
components: mechanical, electrical, and station sequencing. This is one
of the most valuable services offered by our firm because the persons
maintaining the system in the future will need to refer to a record of
what has been installed. |
 |
|
We take much care in the
process of selecting the right irrigation equipment, placing it
effectively in the field and recording its location. This attention to
detail will create an effective irrigation system. However, the tool
that makes an effective system into a conserving, cost saving system is
the computer program. Often overlooked, this is one of the most
critical components to your investment. |
|
The irrigation control
programs now offered are very powerful turf management tools that can
save the operator water, power, and much wear-and-tear on equipment.
These systems must be programmed carefully to insure the irrigation is
not overtaxed or under utilized. We can configure your system to run at
its optimum. We have had training in many of the industry's computer
irrigation programs. Our firm has programmers with level 4C
certification from the Rain Bird Company to program their Maxi V central
control system. It is the highest level and there are less than two
dozens individuals in the United States with this certification. Our
firm was on the forefront of Rain Bird’s development of graphical based
mapped irrigation systems. We programmed an installed the first Rain
Bird Cirrus program configured outside of their factory and installed on
a project site. We also work closely with the Toro Company on their
programs and have offered advice to their software development teams. |

|
If you have an existing
system and are exploring the possibility of a system renovation this
service could help you. We can develop a complete and detailed analysis
regarding the effectiveness of your system including: sprinklers,
controllers, piping, computer and water resources. Then we will submit
a written report with recommendations and corrective measures for your
specific situation. |
 |
| Much
of the advancement in the irrigation industry in the past ten years
comes in the arena of pumping technology. Many improvements have been
made with the assimilation of computers into pump stations. Stations
are now pumping more efficiently and accurately than ever before. This
can translate into reduced electrical charges and can save on your
equipment wear. We can make an evaluation of your existing pump
station, water sources, power and water usage. Then we will submit a
written report with recommendations and corrective measures for your
specific situation. |
